Owners and operators of commercial, industrial and municipal buildings including landlords, facilities managers and businesses, are legally obliged, under the Electricity at Work Act 1990, to take the requisite precautions against the risk of personal injury or death from electricity in work activities.
DISC are approved inspectors of electrical systems and equipment to BS7671 and are authorised to certify electrical installation work carried out by ourselves or others under the NICEIC scheme. This ensures the relevant technical and safety standards are adhered to. Being an approved contractor means that we are subject to regular audits by NICEIC inspectors to ensure ongoing compliance.
The inspections and tests we undertake are designed to identify damage, deterioration and / or defects in an electrical installation and can determine whether the condition of the installation is, or has the potential to be, dangerous. We report our findings and offer recommendations and can quote for remedial works.
